If you’re thinking about going solar, one of the first questions you may have is: Can I save with solar? Working that out for yourself can be a confusing and time-consuming process for most people.

One Power Solar and Electrical is an independent, family-owned business which supplies and installs solar systems in the Gold Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong regions.

One Power offers a free in-home assessment which helps you to understand what savings may be possible with solar so that you can make an informed decision.

Sean Barry is the Technical Director at One Power Solar and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in every stage of the solar process.

In this short video, Sean explains the process that One Power goes through when assessing your potential savings, including reviewing your power bill which tends to stump most people.

When assessing whether solar is the way to go, One Power has 3 main objectives:

  • To reduce your power bill.
  • Enable you to pay your system off using your solar savings.
  • Put money back in your pocket once the system is paid off.

The free in-home assessment

Booking a free in-home assessment is the first step to understanding how much you can potentially save and whether your home in suitable for solar.

Once you’ve booked a time that suits you, a One Power Solar assessor will come to your home to inspect your property and review your power bill. The standard power bill can be a bit like reading a train timetable in a foreign city — you’re not sure if you’ve read it right and whether you’ll end up in the right destination.

Thankfully One Power’s experienced team know how to read the timetable and navigate the subway to guide you to the right platform!

Making sense of your power bill

When reviewing your power bill, some things your assessor will consider are:

  • The rate that you’re paying for power.
  • How much power you’re paying for.
  • The time of day that you’re buying power.
  • Your peak and off-peak needs.

A thorough review of your power bill is key to not only understanding where the potential savings lie, but also in designing a solar solution that suits your specific needs.

Why One Power Solar?

One Power Solar is a family-owned business with a strong track record in both NSW and Queensland for supplying and installing quality systems backed by sound warranties. Customers also refer One Power to family and friends due to the customer service experience which is maintained long after your system is installed.
